Sum up

So, home and first week of work after vacation finished.

We had a great weekend even if propagation really was crap on Saturday and Sunday. We had less than 5 qsos outside of Europe from Saturday morning until Sunday lunch.

In total we had about 1350 qsos, breakdown shows main part on 30m (550) and on 20m (543). Ronny also worked a bunch on 6m. That was a first
Timer for us from the island. Rest of contacts were made on 40 and 17. Only 5 contacts on 80m where we normally have around 400.

Will post more pictures later on this weekend.

The Island

You can see the island at the horizon

Preparing to board

Arrived at the harbor and waiting for the boat to take us to the island. Perfect weather but just a bit windy.
As usual way to much stuff with us.
But you need to be prepared. You never Know what happens.

Testing antennas

Testing a 3 band vertical for the weekend but can't get the swr ok. Digging out various antennas in the summerhouse at the moment

Preparation 2015

So a new lighthouse weekend is coming up. Pieces are falling into place.
operators this year will be SM7PXS George and SM7RRF Ronny. Chris couldnt make it this year.

Room to stay and accommodate shack is ok and the boat will take us to the island friday afternoon. Hopefully we will have time this year to put antennas up before dark.

At the moment we try do decide what antennas to use. 80m dipole is given.
Then there might be monoband verticals for 40 and 30. and hopefully a hexbeam for 20m. Might add elements for 17 and 15 too.

Weather looks promising, not to hot.

See you on the bands during the weekend.
